Between 15-16 November 2017, CELL's Principal of Research, Dr. Lonneke Nillesen, participated in the Households in Conflict Network's (HiCN) 13th annual workshop, hosted by the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management. At the workshop, Lonneke presented the research report, "Impact Evaluation of the Peacebulding Educational Programme ‘Livinsidebyside’ in Kyrgyzstan,” as well as chaired a session entitled, "Conflict, Poverty and Transition in Afghanistan.”
The event featured keynotes by Stefan Dercon, Professor of Economic Policy, Oxford University and Chief Economist DFID; and Jeremy Weinstein, Professor of Political Science at Stanford University and former Deputy to the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and Director for Development and Democracy in the National Security Council during the Obama Administration
